Description
Chronic administration of therapeutic concentrations of vitamin D3 to patients results in calcemia and calcification of soft tissue. KH1060 is a vitamin D receptor (VDR) superagonist designed to retain the beneficial properties of vitamin D3 but avoid undesirable side effects like calcification and calcemia. KH1060 is a more potent VDR agonist than vitamin D3 in transactivation assays and is several orders of magnitude more effective than vitamin D3 as an antiproliferative agent.
