Overview

TLX is an orphan member of the nuclear receptor superfamily of transcription factors.

Expression

TLX is expressed exclusively in the cerebrum and corpus striatum.

Targeted disruption (knockout) of TLX results in defects in the central nervous system (CNS) in learning and behavior, and in vision.
