Description

GW7647 is a potent selective agonist of PPARα, a member of the nuclear receptor superfamily of transcription factors. It has been shown to exert cardioprotective effects in a mouse model of acute ischemia/reperfusion myocardial injury, indicating a potential added benefit to patients treated with PPARα activators for dyslipidemia.
