Name
Phosphoprotein 32 Kda
Symbol
pp32
pp32 was found associated with ERα in MCF7 cells and and to enhance ER-ERE complex formation but to decrease ER-mediated transcription, possibly through pp32 ability to decrease acetylation of ERα and histones. pp32 was also reported to bind to TRβ, PR-B, PPARγ and AR. Howver, pp32 was reported to act as a coactivator for AR-mediated transcription and this activity is modulated by the retinoblastoma protein.
