Name
Thyroid hormone receptor-associated protein (25 kDa)
Symbol
TRAP25

Overview

TRAP25 is a subunit of the human TRAP/Mediator complex, which is phylogenetically related to the yeast SRB/Mediator coregulator complex, and facilitates activation through a wide variety of transcriptional activators, including members of the nuclear receptor superfamiy.

Expression

TRAP25 is expressed in a variety of physiological systems, including the central nervous system (brain), endocrine (pancreas), metabolic (liver, skeletal muscle, kidney), cardiovascular (heart) and respiratory (lung) systems.
