Overview

DJBP was isloated as a binding partner of DJ-1, a protein that co-operates with ras in cellular transformation. It was identified as a nuclear receptor coregulator through its corepression of androgen receptor (AR)-mediated transcription, involviing recruitment of histone deacetylase activity.

Expression

DJBP is exclusively expressed in the testis.
